The Cocktail Series at Beehive Distilling

Beehive Distilling has partnered with Jim Santangelo of Wine Academy of Utah to offer a series of cocktail-focused classes that explore the rich history and modern craftsmanship of the world's most loved cocktails. Classes are developed and presented by Jim Santangelo with Wine Academy of Utah, and will take place at Beehive Distilling one Saturday each month. 

Each class is capped at 20 people. 21+ only with valid ID required for entry. Please email mads@beehivedistilling.com with any questions or concerns.

Champagne Cocktails 

Join us for a history and tasting of Sparkling Wine Cocktails as we present a range from such classics as the gin based French 75 to the modern rum based Old Cuban to a new twist...a bubbly class not to be missed.


Saturday February 12 | 2:30PM

History of the Negroni 

Follow the history of the classic Negroni as we walk through all the ingredients in a component tasting, learning about each ingredient, finishing with the final Negroni cocktail. We'll also finish with a special variation on this classic drink!

The Manhattan Cocktail 

Jim's personal favorite class that the Wine Academy of Utah presents: The Manhattan Cocktail. Join us as we take you through the 150+ year history of this classic cocktail. We stir you down three versions of this drink as we discuss the facts & fiction surrounding the 'birth' of this pre-prohibition cocktail, how it adapted to prohibition, and the modern take on this classic.
